Can I still download my PTE score report after 2 years?

No. Your PTE score report is valid for two years from your test date. Pearson states that you will not be able to access the result after that point. Expired reports can no longer be accessed in your myPTE account or assigned to institutions. If your score is still live, download the PDF today. If it has already lapsed, there is no retrieval process — a valid score means sitting the test again.

What actually happens at the two-year mark

The report stops being something you can open, send, or have verified. Pearson's help center simply says that after two years "you will not be able to access your result", and that scores not assigned within two years can no longer be assigned. This catches people who tested early "to get it out of the way" and then had an application timeline slip by a few months.

Why saving the PDF doesn't rescue you

A downloaded PDF is a personal record, not proof. Universities and immigration authorities verify scores electronically against Pearson's system rather than reading the document you send them, so once the underlying result has expired the PDF has no official standing — even though it still looks perfectly valid on your screen.

It's still worth keeping. It's useful for your own reference, for remembering your communicative skills breakdown before a retake, and occasionally for an employer who just wants to see something. Just don't build an application around it.

Download the PDF and store it somewhere you'll still have access to in two years. Write down your test date and calculate the exact expiry date, then work backwards from your application deadlines.
